Nashua Corporate Office

A multi-tenant office building needed to replace a legacy keycard system that required physical re-keying for every tenant change. They wanted mobile credentials, tenant-managed schedules, and integration with the building’s elevator system.

  • Installed HID Signo readers on 28 doors across 4 floors
  • Deployed cloud-managed controllers with per-tenant access schedules
  • Integrated elevator control restricting floor access by credential group

“The Arcomm team handled our Access Control project professionally from start to finish. Clean work, on time, and on budget.”

— Facilities Director, NH

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Cloud vs on-premise — which is better?

Cloud-managed systems offer remote administration, automatic updates, and no on-site server to maintain — ideal for most businesses. On-premise controllers work when internet connectivity is unreliable or compliance requires local-only data. We install both and help you choose based on your IT policies.

2. Can employees use their phones instead of badges?

Yes. Modern HID and WaveLynx readers support mobile credentials via Bluetooth or NFC. Employees install an app, receive a digital credential, and unlock doors by holding their phone near the reader — or even hands-free as they approach.

3. What happens during a power outage?

All our access control installations include battery backup at the controller. Doors remain secured and credentials continue to work during an outage. The system logs all events locally and syncs when power returns. Magnetic locks can be configured fail-safe or fail-secure per door based on fire code requirements.

4. Can you manage multiple locations from one system?

Yes. Whether you have 2 offices in NH or 20 sites nationwide, cloud-managed access control gives you a single dashboard to add/revoke credentials, set schedules, and view door activity across every location.

5. Does access control integrate with my alarm system?

Yes. We routinely integrate access control with intrusion alarm panels — disarming the alarm when an authorized badge is presented, triggering an alarm on forced entry, and enabling scheduled auto-arm at close of business.
